Family sources of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have confirmed that they are going to take him to US for a better treatment. It had been reported earlier by his son Hussain that Mian Nawaz Sharif was not willing to fly to US in spite of family’s strenuous efforts of convincing him for the said move. It is expected that the Sharif family will take off to New York on 16th December, 2019. In an important development, Maryam Nawaz had also applied for a permission to join and look after her father in the moments of his ailment.

Also the mystery is still unrevealed why the amount was transferred to the account of Supreme Court instead of Government’s own account. Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed had revealed a couple of days ago that they were bound to follow the orders of PM Imran of “no-comments” on the above said transaction between Malik Riaz and the Supreme Court. Jahangir Tareen yesterday rejected an allegation that Imran Khan had ordered to seal the details of the agreement. Adding further Tareen said that it was rule of British Government not to disclose the details of a civil deal and PM Khan had nothing to do with it.

Talking to the media, the leader of the traders’ group Ilyas Ahmad Bilour alleged the KP government for destructing the beauty of the city through its badly planned project. He urged the government to face the inquiry if nothing wrong had been done in terms of corruption, bad governance and poor management pertaining to the said project. Ilyas also demanded an investigation against the slow work progress and delay in completion of the project; holding it responsible for ruining the business activities in the city that would take a lot of time to recover.
According to sources, NAB have initiated investigations against the PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif for making assets beyond means
As reported, Latif had acquired various assets in the name of his mother and siblings. Up till now there is no confirmation from NAB sources about the initiation of said probe although the news is being escalated in the media for a couple of days. Javed Latif’s close source however rejected the allegation of corruption on him; calling it a conspiracy to defame him politically and nothing else. “Such allegations were also raised in Musharaf’s reign however nothing could be proved against Javed Latif”, he said.
“CEC issue will be resolved till Wednesday”, says Khattak
Defence Minister Pervez Khattak said that the Government would start discussions with the opposition on Army Chief’s extension matter after the release of detailed judgment from Supreme Court of Pakistan. Talking to media in Nowshehra, Khattak said that the issue CEC and regional members would be resolved till December 11, 2019 since there were no further complications left after the discussions with the allies in this regard.
Fawad Alam gets back to Test squad against Sri Lanka
Led by Kuranaratne, Sri Lankan cricket team landed on Monday in Islamabad to play a series of 2 test matches against Pakistan. The Lankan Tigers had played their last match here in 2009 that was followed by the suspension of International cricket in Pakistan due to a terrorist attack on them in Lahore. Fawad Alam has been brought back to Pakistan squad replacing Iftikhar Ahmad whose inclusion in the test team had been under severe criticism over the days. Fawad Alam had played his last match against New Zealand in 2009 at Dunedin and was wiped away from the International canvas right after that. He recently achieved a mile stone of 12,000 runs in his first class career through a classical double century in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2019-20 against Southern Punjab. The first test of the series will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 11-15 December while the final match of the series will be played at National Stadium Karachi from 19-23 December.
