PML-N stalwart Marriyum Aurangzeb claimed that her party would soon issue a “corruption paper” against the ruling party (PTI) to expose the financial irregularities and mismanagement of funds during three years.
Talking to a press conference in Islamabad, Ms Aurangzeb criticized the ruling party for its poor performance and bad governance and claimed that PTI was busy in diverting people’s attention from major issues of inflation and unemployment.

She mentioned that In July, 2021, Pakistan had to face unprecedented inflation when the prices of at least 51 essential commodities touched sky-height. In addition, the incompetent government purchased LNG at a price 70 per cent more than the one at which the PML-N was purchasing the commodity during its tenure. Aurangzeb revealed that the PTI government had ejected the minister who was about to finalize the LNG deal at $11 and $13 per unit however it was later purchased at $15 giving an annual jerk of $2 billion to the pockets of Pakistani people.

Bashing at the government for record imports, PML-N information secretary said that they used to blame the previous government for trade deficit and now the imports of $16 billion were recorded in July only whereas the Pakistani rupee devalued by 40pc last month. “How will they justify this?”, she asked.
Commenting on the IMF program, Ms Aurangzeb said that the government had not signed anything with the institution after the budget. The PML-N leader said that now they had no option available other than accepting the IMF conditions otherwise the game would be devastating for the country and its people.
Ms Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan was solely responsible for all the crises and issues in the country. She claimed that the PM formulated policies for his ATMs and mafias who had bought votes for him in elections. She categorically mentioned that PTI’s malpractices would be exposed on daily basis through pressers.
The PML-N spokesperson also clarified that there were no various intra-party narratives on public issues, saying that Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were at the same page in terms of giving respect to the Constitution and vote.
She highlighted that the government had to pocket embarrassment on various fronts and the Prime Minister was looking for apology from Shahbaz Sharif on corruption blames. “Now that four years passed, no reply could be filed in the court about the blame which Imran had leveled against Mian Shahbaz for offering the former Rs10 billion to step back from Panama probe”, she added. Ms Aurngzeb claimed that now they were asking Shahbaz to take back the defamation case.
She also referred to the case filed by the Daily Mail in the UK court where the government had to apologize and the court directed the Pakistani government to pay a heavy fine. She urged Shahzad Akbar to come forward and unveil the truths about Broadsheet case and the money which would be paid form the public’s pocket.
Marriyum Aurangzeb told that the PDM rally was to be held in Karachi on Aug 13 however it was postponed till new announcement due to severe wave of the Covid-19.
